Job Description

Assist Manufacturing Safety Leader with the following key functions.

Development and management of manufacturing Division Safety Business Plan and targets.

Support Process/Gemba with process evaluations and ergo/safety improvements.

Medical Management support and direction.

Summarizing and presenting key safety issues.

Provide support and direction for new model projects.

Support equipment acceptance and problem resolutions at department level.

Implement lean methods for process improvements to support S-Q-D efficiency.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Immediate response analysis, containment and countermeasure application for safety problems.

Assist in leading manufacturing division for problem analysis problem to closure and creation of full analysis summary report.

Assist in representing Manufacturing division for plant wide safety activities.

Injury and incident investigation, feedback to applicable departments and countermeasure for manufacturing causes issues.

Support complex analysis of safety issues.

Confirm containment and procedures are completed on key safety issues.

Assist in assuring safety targets are met.

Implementing innovative ideas to strengthen safety, environment, quality, delivery, morale and cost categories.

Daily Tasks

Assist in investigations for safety issues to determine responsible department and effectively communicate analysis results and countermeasures for departments to contain and CM.

Daily tracking and reporting of problems and activities.

“On call” for production issues-#1 priority.

Help to coordinate daily process safety issues and set priority.

Horizontal application of countermeasure/best practices across divisions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to lead meetings and/or present safety reports.

Ability to work as a team member to achieve a common goal.

Good verbal and written communication.

Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability.

Good Leadership Skills

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Ability to work OT on a short notice.

Ability to travel domestic and internationally as needed.

Hands on approach to problem solving.

Required Experience

Application of engineering theory for problem analysis and countermeasure.

Education Requirements

Minimum of three years of relevant experience.

BS in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
