The chapter has connected EHS Professionals across Central Indiana since 1946 and has over 1,000 Chapter Members and On-line community affiliates. The Chapter follows ASSE’s calendar (July 1 to June 30) and provides monthly technical meetings from September to June which are open to members and non-members. In addition to the monthly technical meetings, the Chapter partners with the Indiana Chamber and Indiana Dept. of Labor to host an annual professional development conference. The Chapter is located within ASSE’s Region 7. The Chapter’s geographical area is comprised of 36 counties in Central Indiana (map shown to the right): Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clinton, Clay, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Ripley, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.
There are three sections within the Chapter. (See the Sections tab for additional information.) The ISU Student Section in Terre Haute, IN, the IU Student Section in Bloomington, IN and the Southern Indiana Section. The Southern Indiana Section provides technical meetings every other month and is comprised of the following counties within the Central Indiana Chapter: Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Monroe and Shelby.
